Politeness,
good manners and common decency are all part of the spirit of Judo.
The following should always be observed:
1.
Respect your Sensei.
2.
Sensei respect all your Judoka.
3.
Be considerate to lower grades.
4.
Be courteous to your opponents at all times.
5.
On entering a Dojo one should always rei ( bow ).
6.
No shoes to be worn on the Tatami ( mat ).
7.
When stepping onto or off a Tatami you should always rei inwards towards
the Tatami.
8.
Before and after practice one should rei to their partner.
9.
Be quiet in the Dojo.
10.Do
not indulge in “ horseplay” in the Dojo.
11.Keep
your body clean.
12.Long
hair must be tied back.
13.Keep
your fingernails and toenails short. No nail varnish.
14.Frequently
wash your Judo-Gi.
15.Never
use Judo techniques outside of the Dojo.
